Another good turnout to hear someone talk about their airplane. This time it was Jacob talking about his travails in getting a Lancair he purchased a year and a half ago from Florida to KSBP. The pre-buy found some issues and the owner agreed to pay for lots of engine work but the shop could never seem to get it right. He did manage to get someone to fly it here and while doing the condition inspection found that the pitot/static system has a leak. Hopefully, that’s what is keeping it from showing a safe airspeed on takeoff. In the mean time, he‘s flying his Sportsman and as soon as the condition inspection is signed off, it goes on the market.
